ID Labs™ inc is a Life Science Biotech Corporation registered in Ontario, Canada, in 1989.  Currently, for pathology and laboratory medicine, two important areas of focus for ID Labs’ are its own branded product development. First, it is the  IDetect™ line of Chromosome DNA Probes for Molecular Cytogenetics / Chromosome Analysis.  Second, it is the related high-value specialized Cytogenetics Tissue Culture Media targeted for pre-natal and cancer genetic laboratories.

Using Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH) technology, ID Labs™ has developed its own  IDetect™ brand of individual Whole Chromosome Probes, available in 5 IDYE™ Fluorochromes (Green, Red, Aqua, Orange/Gold & Far Red: WCP1-22, X, Y). Recently launched are an IDetect™ mouse-Aneuploidy Kit for chromosome enumeration and laboratory genetic toxicity assay, plus several Rat/Bovine/Porcine sexing Kits. Currently, in development are human multi-colour or M-FISH Kits, as well as other individual disease-based IDetect™ point probes for cancers and Syndromes like DiGeorge & Downs.

Additional product categories offered include: antibodies and detection kits for Immunohistochemistry or Flow Cytometry, branded IDELISA™ Kits for the Interleukin/Cytokine assays, and several  enzyme-based IDTox™ Toxicity Assay Kits. Molecular Biology products include the well recognized brands of ID Labs™  thermostable DNA Polymerases, IDPol™ Taq and IDProof™ high fidelity DNA Polymerases.
