Cytokine Immunoassay Service

ID Labs provides full service research laboratory services focused on the measurement of cytokines and growth factors using ELISAs. We have selected the highest quality reagents and optimized conditions to provide quality results. The laboratory offers the following advantages over in-house services:

1. Cost: where possible, the laboratory purchases individual reagents rather than pre-packaged ELISA kits, and provides trained staff and relevant space and equipment. Assays can be performed more cost-effectively than in- house assays.
2. Performance: our assay performance generally meets or exceeds optimal performance of commercial ELISA kits. Samples are plated accurately using duplicate or triplicate wells per sample. All assays are performed by dedicated laboratory personnel using rigorous Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) protocols.
3. Reliability: internal controls are included in each assay to detect suboptimal test performance. If the variance of the controls exceeds limits, the test is repeated at no extra cost to the client.
4. Paperwork: assay variances are tracked and recorded to document satisfactory performance. Along with results, we will provide measurements of our internal controls, variances of the controls, up-to-date coefficients of variance for each assay, standard curves, and method descriptions.
5. Assays: Immunoassays are performed by solid-phase “sandwich” ELISA using commercial reagents. Mixing experiments and interference testing can be performed upon request (please call for more information). For most assays, results will be provided within 2-4 weeks of sample delivery.
